The Oera Linda book is bound in the order in which the authors entered the text. The book has been passed down through many, many generations within the Oera Linda family. Each heir to the book must copy it so that it does not disappear and leave the original as a legacy to the next generation. The family has been given clear directives in the introduction to the book to keep it secret from clergymen and princes. That is probably why the book did not become known to anyone outside the Oera Linda family until the year 1867. In the book, the reckoning of time begins when Atland sank, which in Christian time reckoning is 2193 BC. The story stretches from before 2193 BC to 50 AD. There are many writers over a very long period of time who have written their own texts and other writers who have copied texts from the walls of the burgs.<\/p>
