The fact is that the name &#8220;Jesus&#8221; is mentioned long before the Christian Bible.<\/p><p>Jacolliot\u2019s shocking discovery in 1869, that Krishna who lived around 500BC, was indeed called \u201cIezeus\u201d by his followers according to the ancient manuscripts of the Baghavat Gita, that were untouched by muslim and christian censors.<br \/>I also had a space on this topic about a year ago, which contain additional sources.<\/p><p>In 1869 indologist Jacolliot published \u201cLife of Iezeus Christna\u201d in which he concludes the gospels are based on ancient indian mythology.<br \/>He also made the very controversial claim that Christna was given the name \u201cIezeus\u201d by his followers.<\/p><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8344\" src=\"https:\/\/oera-linda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/jevseus-300x222.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oera-linda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/jevseus-300x222.jpg 300w, https:\/\/oera-linda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/jevseus.jpg 680w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p><p>This name was famously debunked by german orientalist Max M\u00fcller, who claimed it was \u201emade up\u201c by Jacolliot.<br \/>It is less known that the greatest sanskrit authority at the time, Cambridge professor E. B Cowell did not agree entirely.
