How can Jesus and Buda appear in the Oera Linda book, many ask themselves. The fact is that the name “Jesus” is mentioned long before the Christian Bible.
Jacolliot’s shocking discovery in 1869, that Krishna who lived around 500BC, was indeed called “Iezeus” by his followers according to the ancient manuscripts of the Baghavat Gita, that were untouched by muslim and christian censors.
I also had a space on this topic about a year ago, which contain additional sources.
In 1869 indologist Jacolliot published “Life of Iezeus Christna” in which he concludes the gospels are based on ancient indian mythology.
He also made the very controversial claim that Christna was given the name “Iezeus” by his followers.

This name was famously debunked by german orientalist Max Müller, who claimed it was „made up“ by Jacolliot.
It is less known that the greatest sanskrit authority at the time, Cambridge professor E. B Cowell did not agree entirely. Granting the name „Isas“ to Christna.

In 1877 Jacolliot received further support from Theosophist H. P. Blavatsky in the New York Sun
